圣召塈教育基金会成立说明
Introduction to the setting up of the Fund

　　圣召暨教育基金会于1996年1月1日在马尼拉为中国内地教会创办，开始在河北邢台教区运作服务。创办之初，只靠一万元本金的利息，资助当地有意度奉献生活的男女学生部分学杂费。1997年迁至石家庄，开始资助河北及国内各地的大、中、小学生。圣召暨教育基金会资金由国内外善心人士无偿捐助。
　　1997年，基金会首次在《信德》报上正式公布自身的历史和发展，并透过《信德》报在捐献者和受益者间架起爱心桥。
　　据不完全统计，经过近十年的发展，我们资助了5661名学生，总支出金额2120210元。
　　帮助过的学生几乎遍布全国各地，内蒙古、云南、贵州、四川、青海、西藏、湖南、湖北、江西、福建、安徽、新疆、甘肃、广西、山西、河北、河南、陕西、山东、宁夏、黑龙江、辽宁、吉林、重庆、天津等25个省市区均有受资助的学生。我们的合作伙伴既有地方政府和民间机构，也有海内外的教会和社会民间组织。在帮助对象的选择上，尤其注重照顾少数民族地区和偏远贫困地区的困难学生，迄今为止，已为满族、蒙古族、回族、藏族、苗族、布依族、彝族、水族、朝鲜族、绕族、土家族、纳西族和白族等16个少数民族的101名大中小学生提供过资助。

   "Vocation and Education Fund" was founded at the beginning of the nineties by a priest after several years of struggle. The Father subsidized the seminarians and sisters with two eggs per person per week after he witnessed the hardships of seminary life in the countryside. In 1993, the Father obtained a sum of money for helping the local seminarians. In view of using the funds intelligently the Fund was officially set up in 1995 with the local ecclesiastical superiors' help. During these years, the Fund was expanded its service scope to the whole province and the whole country.When it was first funded, the Fund only used the interest on the principal(10,000RMB) and some generous donations to help the needy. Due to the small amount in the fund and the low interest rate, it has become more and more difficult to help the students. While, the sum of poor students is more than before. The Fund has had to use the already small principal to help them. At the beginning of 2001, the Fund only had few thousand Yuan and could no longer to help those seminarians, sisters and poor students to return to school. So, the Fund wishes to call upon all the priests, sisters and Catholics to take concerned about the "Vocation and Education Fund" and care for those students who can't pay their school fee. Let the poor children have a chance to continue their vocation and study.
